What do students do on Long Weekend? Meghan Norton '12

This morning, Meghan Norton '12 gives a bit of insight into why students have been looking forward to this year's first Long Weekend.

We have reached our first Long Weekend of the year! For most seniors, this means college essay time and preparing our senior page layouts for the yearbook. For several students, this is their first time home since summer - and a solid four days to catch up on sleep, homework, leisure reading, or favorite TV shows. But for all of us, students and faculty alike, (and perhaps most importantly) long weekend means searching the house for clothing/accessories/supplies in order to create a costume for the upcoming Annual Halloween Costume Dinner in the Peddie Dining Hall! My roommate and I have begun working on our top-secret costume idea for this year and we plan on setting the bar high for our fellow competitors who seek the grand prize for best costume. Good Luck to all!
