The Peddie Science Club welcomed some young scientists from Chapin School this morning. Dr. Shani Peretz, chair of the science department, has the story:
Thirty third graders from the Chapin School in Princeton are here today to do some 'hands on' science. The science club, led by Jonathan Ku '13 and Pankhuri Jha '13, organized the visit. The day started with a tour of the science building, including the robotics class and the DNA lab. Students learned about chemical reactions by making slime and volcanos, and talked about recycling while blending paper into new paper. Chemisty teacher Dr. Crider invited the students to make tie-dye shirts with her, after which the students enjoyed lunch on campus before heading back to their school.
