Friends, farming and great coffee
We asked our teachers to tell us what they've been up to this summer. Courtney Jackson, English teacher and girls varsity soccer coach, shares:
I spent the summer teaching a course on food and sustainability at St. Paul's Advanced Studies Program in Concord, NH. There is an alpaca farm near by whose owners are from north Jersey and I go visit them each time I'm back in that area.
From there, I went to Vermont to visit a college friend who works at Fat Toad Farm, a goat dairy that makes caramel sauce that is delicious.
Then I went to Waltham and Somerville to visit friends from ASP and then ended up in Providence, RI to see some St. Paul's kids who were seniors when I was a first year teaching fellow. We had a picnic at the beach and caught up. It was lovely.
In short, I had great coffee and quality time with friends!! Which is always a big goal for me every summer...
