Rain or shine, the epic battle rages on

Now in its ninth year, the annual Battle of the Heads began today. It is a colossal organizational effort by Mooney, Wall and Creamer, with very specific directions for every competitive event, from the more sedate checkers games to the thrill-a-minute Quidditch match. Below follow just a few directives for the teams from our fearless student leaders.

SCOOTER RACERS- YOU MUST ACQUIRE YOUR OWN SCOOTER
QUIDDITCH PLAYERS- YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BROOM-LIKE THING (lacrosse stick, bat, actual broom, etc)
FRISBEE-ERS- BRING YOUR OWN FRISBEE
PIE-EATERS- DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN PIE

If you are done with an event or don't have one, go cheer on your teammates, that's how you win games.

A REMINDER: BATTLE OF THE HEADS IS MEANT TO BE FUN. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TOO SERIOUSLY. IT IS JUST A GAME. THAT BEING SAID, HERE IS A QUOTE FROM U.S. ARMY GENERAL AND WORLD WAR I AND II VETERAN GEORGE S. PATTON:

DO NOT LET YOUR HEADMASTERS DOWN.

BATTLE BEGINS COMMUNITY MEETING ON THURSDAY

IT WILL BE MUDDY. IT MIGHT BE BLOODY. BE THERE.

1. Get your boots on...

2. ... or Embrace the mud

3. If it rains it rains...
4. so support your teammates

4. And have fun. Here's another quote:

"Now we are engaged in a great Battle of the Heads, testing whether Potter, Degray, Green, Seltzer, or any team so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war starting at 10 am tomorrow at community meeting. Go Saunders." -Abraham Lincoln
